Pointless, Dangerous almost foolish

Here's the first of two man-in-a-field interviews conducted in Taoyuan County's Xinwu, last week, not far from the big yellow duck in the irrigation pond. A former motorcycle rider shares his experience of riding motorcycle fast in Taiwan, memories of long journeys and accidents, ruminations on the meaning of Taipei Scooter Style, and tips for staying alive and musically fit.

The video features a quick ride up Chungshan South Road, and then a long ride, uninterrupted by red lights, along Chunghsiao East Road past Tunhua South Road on a summer's evening.

Look for the next video with interview in the coming weeks. Former Isle of Man racer and competitive downhill skier speaks of the risk and thrills of riding a scooter in Taipei.
